Opioids
Opioids are drugs that can be used to relieve pain. They have similar effects as depressant drugs, slowing down the central nervous system, and lowering the heart rate, breathing and blood pressure. Taking too many or too much of an opioid is dangerous and so is taking them with any depressant type drug. Some common opioids are heroin, methadone, and tramadol.
